This week Miss Dawson's Algebra class investigated if there is a correlation between height and wingspan. Students recorded the bivariate data by helping each other measure their height and wingspan. The class then created a scatter plot to share their results. This activity was an introduction to scatter plots and finding the line of best fit which students found using the graphing calculators.

EPHS Rotary Interact was able to pack a record-breaking 90 shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child this year! The boxes contain small toys, school and art supplies, hygiene products and more and will be delivered to impoverished children around the world as a way to make Christmas a little brighter. Students in Rotary Interact will be able to track the boxes and will receive updates about which countries the boxes go to. In the past, some of the countries to receive EPHS boxes included The Ukraine, Guatemala, The Congo and Madagascar! Thank you to everyone who donated time, money and items! Way to go Bulldogs!

Leadership Columbiana County (LCC) has been developing leaders since 1999 by providing opportunities to explore the diverse industries, leaders, and organizations that are helping Columbiana County grow and serve others. Launched in 2017, the Junior Leadership Columbiana County program continues this mission by providing classroom and hands-on experience to develop informed and responsible citizens who are future leaders of Columbiana County. Three high school students from East Palestine, Emily Berger, Payton Sherry, and Morgan Cheurco, applied and were selected to participate in the program this school year.

After listening to the story of the Cucuy in Spanish class, students did a great job writing and illustrating the legend. According to the legend, when children misbehave and do not listen to their parents, the Cucuy comes and takes them away.
