East Palestine Elementary School

Good afternoon, this is Mr. Rook calling from East Palestine Schools. This message is to make you aware that late in the school day on Tuesday, September 17, a rumor spread throughout our middle school regarding a threat that was made to a neighboring school district. This threat was misinterpreted by our middle school students to involve our schools. To be clear, this threat was in no way directed at or involved East Palestine Schools or its students. Administrators and our school resource officer quickly met with all students found to be discussing the threat and assured them that there was no threat to our schools. Parents of these students were also called to inform them of the conversation. Again, East Palestine Schools has received no threat and we will continue to take all matters of this nature seriously.
